ContactFlow may be new for App Store but was available previously for jailbreaked iPhones. The application allows iPhone users to browse through their contacts in a cover flow style. Its similar to browsing albums on an iPod.
While flipping through the contacts, the user needs to tap on a particular contact to flip the picture for calling options. The options involve calling, SMS and e-mail. The application is a standalone app and doesn’t integrate with the inbuilt contact application on iPhone. Which means, it would have to be used instead of using the built-in contact app.
The good thing is it would compel you to take photos of most of your contacts. I know its time consuming, but it would leave you with a lively contact book to browse through whenever you use your iPhone for calling/SMS/e-mail. The application is available on iTunes for $1.99. [iTunes Link]

Now for this app giving the name of Classics is very rhetorical, cause the future of books is This, as this the core thing on iPad. Let me clarify myself here, Someone once said future is very much reading a book from a screen and voilà here it is with Classics. An Ebook store with titles ranging from Alice in wonderland to Pride and Predudice, from Jungle Book to Gulliver’s Travels it’s got a great collection of eBooks. The text is eligible and the turning of pages with a touch of a finger gives it a very neat look, you (more…)

Microsoft is showing some serious involvement in the mobile industry. After a tie-up with Nokia, Microsoft has introduced a mobile application for the feature phones. The OneApp has been introduced for feature phones to have more power like the smartphones. OneApp would bring social network access along with some other features to the feature phones. This application would mark the entry of Microsoft into the non-smartphone segment or the phones that do not feature a Windows MobileOS mostly.
The most interesting features of the OneApp are the social networking access via Facebook, Twitter and Windows Live Messenger. The users of OneApp would be able to personalize these features and access the service at a lower rate than what applies to the regular smartphone applications.
OneApp would be the a lite 150KB application with social networking and other add-on of 30KB each. Also, OneApp allows the access of these applications online which means that the application would not require too much space or data to be stored in the mobile phone.
“With a GPRS-enabled cell phone, consumers can now be part of the app experience, which is taking the world by storm,” says Mark Levy, joint CEO of Blue Label Telecoms. “While this opens up a whole new world of opportunity for any and all users, advertisers and developers, we’re particularly excited by the technology’s capacity to transform nearly any cell phone into a highly sophisticated, cost-effective and user-friendly transactional device.”
The application would first be launched in South Africa and later to the other parts of the world. Video Downstairs.

The Happy Birthday Cake application available on iPhone app store would help you celebrate birthdays with as little efforts as possible. The application designed by appTOKYO would help you create a virtual cake on your iPhone. Then write the name of the birthday boy/girl on the cake with a cool message. The application lets you put some virtual candles on the cake. Just ask the birthday boy/girl to blow on the screen of iPhone and the candles go off with a happy birthday song for your friend. We said this so many times and its sad that you have to hear it again. The AppStore a big USP for the Apple iPhone. And all its competitors are following the model (yes better late than never). The BlackBerry Store (App Center or whtever it would be called) that was expected since long has moved a step further.
Blackberry has started to accept ideas from developers and the storefront is expected to debut in March.
