Choosing the right kind of make-up can be time consuming and skin damaging too. Keeping these issues under consideration, Shiseido has developed a Digital Cosmetic Mirror.
The mirror has a built-in camera that scans the user’s face and then different types of virtual make-up can be tested on the scanned image. The mirror provides recommendations on the latest make-up trends and also has options for different make-up styles which can be browsed through a touchscreen. It provides a print-out of ‘before and after’ image along with the purchase details for the make-up. The digital cosmetic mirror not only helps the user to choose the best make-up, but also helps in avoiding the blunders of experimenting.

Nokia has clubbed its Ovi Maps application with a racing game to be released in 2010. The Ovi Maps Racing is a combination of Ovi Maps and racing, allowing its user to race through the tracks on the Ovi Map.
The application detects the users location through GPS and then allows the user to race in the neighbourhood tracks using the racing game application. The user can also customise the tracks to race along the famous roads of major cities. The user can customise the tracks of his current location or can choose any location around the world for racing.
The game would soon be available on the Ovi Store. Nokia did not declare if the game would be a free or paid application. Do check the demo video to see how it works.

AR (or Augmented Reality) is a technology for the Android platform that is set to revolutionize GPS use with real-time traffic images beamed directly to mobiles of Android users. Augmented Traffic, as the application is called, will use the AR technology to show a list of all available traffic cameras in the direction of travel. The Android user just needs to tap on the desired camera to check the traffic status and live videos at a particular spot.
