LG eXpo projector capacities tested on Video

PC Mag has a video up demoing the LG eXpo. eXpo is one of the first phones with a projector attachment ready for prime time and it runs Windows Mobile 6.5 with its own S-class UI. The projector seems to perform really well, the video however makes no mention of how the 1GHz processor or the biometric security in the device performs.

Jump over for the video and make your own opinion. But if you ask me I don’t like the way that touchscreen behaves. And is Windows Mobile 6.5 at the end of the day.

HTC HD2 ‘Leo’ is now official

The HTC Leo we told you about a little while ago has officially been announced, and it is now called the HTC HD2. Apart from its dazzling looks, this device also has some power specs packed in.

Windows Marketplace for mobiles coming on Oct 6, 2009

October 6 2009 – this is the official date that has been announced for the launch of the Windows Marketplace for mobile applications,  as indicated in an official blog post by Microsoft’s Todd Brix. Windows Mobile 6.5 will also be launched on that day.

According to Brix, the Windows Marketplace for Mobile still has some minor issues and bugs. A team of developers is working on these issues, and will sort these out before the launch date.

For now, apps from the Marketplace will only be compatible with phones running Windows Mobile 6.5. Other apps for WinMo 6 and WinMo 6.1 will be made available to users by the end of the year, along with a PC version-marketplace.

Interestingly, Todd Brix also had a hidden message for Apple. “As you can see we’re working hard to deliver on our two core commitments with Marketplace; to create a more open, transparent and rewarding processes for developers and ISVs, and to bring to market a fresh take on (more…)
