Amateur photographers often use the digital cameras for photography and avoid carrying a tripod for its bulky nature. Another limitation of using traditional tripods is that they can be mounted only on flat surfaces. Gorillapod Magnetic allows the user to mount it on any magnetic surface while still keeping the camera bag lightweight.
The Gorillapod from Joby weighs only 45 grams and can hold cameras that weight upto 325 grams. It uses the universal 1/4″ tripod screw for connecting to the camera. The flexible legs can be wrapped around any surface and the magnetic feet allow it to be attached to any magnetic surface. This allows its user to take pictures in any angles and also avoids the need for a flat base.
The Gorillapod Magnetic is available for a price of (more…)

The ugly rusted camera is not a discarded camera of the previous century. The camera is actually in working condition and is taped intentionally to avoid any theft. The owner did this to his camera while going for a trip overseas.
Planning any trips with lots of pics from an expensive camera? Find an ugly rusted tape.

No watch can get more geeky than this one. The watch looking like a bracelet was designed by Hironao Tsuboi. The secret of this watch are the LEDs hidden inside that show the time once you push a button.
I would love to have this one on my wrist and it would be amusing to see people astonished when they realise that its a watch and not a bracelet. Besides, there is no news on its price and availability.
What would you do to make your friends notice that you are wearing this new geeky watch? Let us know in the comments.

I recently came across this cool Micro Spy Remote on
ThinkGeek and couldn’t resist ordering it. Although getting it all the way to India was expensive but once I received it, It was worth the price paid. For years I have seen these universal remotes sell online but never ever such a quality. This thing is as small as a match box, slim and doubles up as an attractive Keychain as well.
This tiny device powered by a CR2032 battery, works with any television around. So my Sony Bravia, my neighbors Samsung LCD, my 8yr old AIWA or the LG at the nearby coffee shop, Whtever -you name it, and it works with it. I really needed to have it in hand to beleive this.
1. Its super small, 2. It has decent range, 3. It has wide compatibility and the best part is that you need not refer to a manual or code list to configure it. It automatically detects and configures itself to work with any TV around you. So in case you find the television at the nearby CCD shutting down every now and then, you know whom to lookout for
