Vaio Pocket in India – VGN-P13G & VGN-P15G

The Vaio P aka Vaio Pocket from Sony is now in India. The netbook mini notebook comes in two variants VGN-P13G & VGN-P15G. At just 19.8mm thick and weighing 594g, the Sony VAIO P features the instant-on, ultra-bright 20.3cms LED-backlit screen delivering a resolution of 1600×768 pixels. It also sports Sony’s Xross media bar for one-button quick-boot option that offers fast access to the web, email, photos and more.

Plenty of colour options are available – Garnet red, Olivine Green, Obsidian Black and Crystal white; the VAIO P series carries a price tag of Rs. 49,990 (VGN-P13G) and Rs. 64,990 (VGN-P15G).Sony has also started offline advertising campaign for the same and we should expect the Pocket Vaio in stores soon!

UPDATE: Some more details (Specifications / Features)

While the P13G comes with a 1.33 GHz Atom Z520 processor the P15G features Intel Atom Z530 CPU (1.6 GHz, HyperThreading, and 512 KB of L2 cache). P13G is powered by a 4200 RPM 60GB HDD whereas the P 15G has a strong 64GB SSD. Rest specifications for both models are the same; 2GB ram, Bluetooth, WiFi-N, etc. VGN-P15G comes bundled with free noise-cancelling earphones. VGN-P15G and VGN-P13G models weigh 620gms and 594gms respectively.
