ViewSonic VPC08 : Another XP Phone?
November 13th, 2009 by Kunal

Remember the xpPhone? The one that can run a PC Version of Windows XP. I used to think that it was one of a kind until i just found another one in the making. This one is under development by ViewSonic and is powered by a Intel ULV Processor.
The phone’s rumoured specifications include a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 4.3” touchscreen, 8GB of internal memory and 512MB RAM. This phone would also feature secondary display and number pad along with a 2MP camera. Interestingly, this XP Phone from ViewSonic has a rumoured price tag too. It is expected to sell at $800.
The phone is far from reality and with no official announcement from ViewSonic, there are a fair chances of no such phone in the making at all. Even if it is, it is not coming to the market anywhere in the near future (though its a different debate as to how good is the UI compared to the Android / iPhone).
