Guess what! Now, you stay in touch with your friends and family back home while you watch the DLF IPL from the stands in South Africa. Vodafone has reduced the International Roaming Rates in South Africa by as much as 50%.
International roaming business for telecom companies faces tough competition from temporary country specific SIM, however Vodafone has not countered that by reducing SMS rates to Rs 5 (previously Rs 15) and GPRS rates to Rs. 0.09/10 Kb (previously Rs.5.50/ 10 Kb).
The call rates have also been reduced. Check out the rates on www.vodafone.in or even send SMS Roam South Africa to 56789.
To avail these rates, you need to stay on the Vodacom Network in South Africa or else standard charges will apply. These special rates are applicable till 31st of May.
For the ones who are missing the live IPL 2009 action you can subscribe to SMS score updates from OCricket.
