Windows 10 To Surface This Summer; Free Version For Users With Pirated OS

Microsoft corporation has already been facing a strong competition to its Windows Phone OS by Android. On the other hand, Microsoft has been under the pump since its Windows 8 did not receive a warm acceptance from the users. Learning from the response, Microsoft has already announced Windows 10 and the new features makes it look promising. Now more news on Windows 10 follows to report that it will be surfacing the market very soon. Microsoft revealed that it will be out by this summer in 190 countries and 111 languages.

Windows has more than 1.5 billion users and China has been one of the major user base for it. Considering this fact, Windows 10 has been imparted with features like ‘Cortana’ in Mandarin. Unlike its previous versions, Windows 10 will come as a free upgrade for the first year. According to a blog post, this will be available for systems running on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1.

Microsoft has partnered up with other tech giants like Lenovo, Tencent and Qihu 360 with intentions to reach large number of user base. And earlier it had revealed plans to feature Windows 10 in Lenovo smartphones and Xiaomi Mi4.

And the biggest news come out as the company is offering Windows 10 to the systems running on pirated OS for free of charge. As reported by Reuters, the free version will be valid for a year. According to the experts, this move comes as a step towards tackling the piracy issue, which is at its peak in China.

Apart from this, a new version of Windows for small footprint IoT (Internet of Things) devices will be available for no charges. Windows 10 will offer several versions of Windows for a set of IoT devices which will range from ATMs to ultrasound machines to gateways. For the same, the company has partnered up with Raspberry Pi Foundation, Intel, Qualcomm and others. This will provide great options for device builders, hobbyists and students.

With all its new strategies and collaborations, Microsoft is set to make a mark with the new Windows 10.
