Xolo Q1000S launched in India with Quad-core Processor

Lava mobile’s subsidiary, Xolo has today announced the launch of its new flagship smartphone, Q1000S. The phone is a successor to the Xolo Q1000 launched earlier this year and was a moderate success.

Moving on to the specs of the phone – the XOLO Q1000S is 6.98 mm thick and houses a 2500 mAh battery. Adorning its front is a large 5 inch (1280 x 720 resolution – 294 PPI) HD IPS screen with OGS technology.

The device is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, supported by a 1 GB RAM. The phone currently runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and should be upgradeable to Android 2.3 and subsequent versions. It has an internal memory of 16 GB but doesn’t have a micro SD slot. The 13MP rear camera of Q1000S comes with a BSI2 sensor while the front camera carries a BSI (Back-Illuminated Sensor) sensor for 3G video calling.

The rear camera is capable of capturing 1080p Full HD videos. The camera also comes with other features like image stabilization technology, HDR imaging, face recognition, etc.

The XOLO Q1000S is priced in India at Rs. 18,999/-

This puts it in the same price bracket as that of the Micromax Canvas 4. Which one would you opt for – given a choice?
