Yu Yuphoria Launched In India For Rs. 6,999

A successor to the famous Yu Yureka have been launched in India. Yu, Micromax’s subsidiary brand today launched the all new Yuphoria for a price for Rs. 6,999. Yuphoria is the company’s second Cyanogen-based smartphone. Yu claims that it manages to bring features seen in a flagship device at an affordable price.

Sporting a 5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1080 pixels resolution the smartphone comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 along with a metal body. The company has promised that the phone comes with better grip and also a flagship feel. Along with that, the company’s founder and CEO Rahul Sharma unveiled the metal stamping process used for enhancing the phone. He also talked about the physical vapor deposition used for the multi-color along with polishing and anti-fingerprint coating.

The Micromax phone runs on Android Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12. It comes along with an application theme which allows users to customize the look and the feel of the device as they would like it to be. The company also stated that the users can also expect a True caller integrated dialer.

Weighing at 143 grams the device is 8.25mm in thickness. It gets a true 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 clocked at 1.2GHz. Alongside the device runs on a 2GB RAM also getting 16GB onboard storage. The phone is a dual SIM smartphone supporting most of the sensors which are found in flagships devices.

The device alongside supports Bluetooth and 4G LTE. It also sports a 8MP rear snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture on the camera front.

The device is assembled in India and designed by Yu, though the first few batches will come from factories the rest will be from India. This Yureka’s successor is available in two different variants: Steel with Champagne Gold and Buffed Black. The phone gets a Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo Chip for the audio. It is backed up with a 2230 mAh battery completing the package. Keeping aside all of this, one of the most noticeable features is the Quick charge ability usually seen in high-end phones.
