The Honda 3R-C is a three wheeled concept vehicle just announced before the Geneva Motor Show. The concept vehicle will be on display along with the EV-N concept which makes it European debut. The vehicle tries to give us a glimpse of ehat the future mode of transport for individuals might look like. Its got a battery electric drivetrain mounted very low in its chassis maintaining a low centre of gravity and improving stability in the process.
The 3R-C has a clear canopy which covers the drivers seat while not in use and then acts as a windshield for the driver while driving. The sides of the safety shell are sufficiently high to protect the driver from accidents or impacts from the sides, also sheltering from the weather at the same time. What more it gives you sufficient and secure storage space as well. Great bike I must say. Wondering how much will this one cost.

Though Segway’s aren’t extremely popular for automobile or technology enthusiasts, Neil Nitin Mukesh did manage to get some traction for the same in India it seems. Segway is a two-wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicle that promises to give you a non stop journey through Mumbai’s traffic . IMO in India the ATV’s are much more popular and in fashion. Last we heard about these Segways was when Chinese SWAT decided to use this for security during Beiging Olympics.
Now the Segway Inc along with the Bird group is gearing up for an India launch and we just hope that the pricing does subsidize here (difficult though). The models X2 and i2 that would make their Indian debut soon, are typically priced around $4500 to $5500 (Rs 250,000 approx). If you really got time view this 8min video on youtube.

Sandeep Bachhe is by far the most hi-tech and geekiest auto driver around. A step into his autorickshaw and you would wonder if its 2050 already. A resident of Bandra, Mumbai; Sandeep has a fully loaded ride that assures its passengers more facilities than a luxury cab. A few months back when I stepped into his vehicle while heading office, I was surprised to see a board with updated stock market index, gold and currency exchange rates and thats just the beginning. Check out the gallery below and I promise the next time you are out looking for a auto to take you home, you would silently hope that its Sandeep coming your way!

Paul Patone takes great pride in showing off his invention which is a fuel delivery system that makes almost any engine run on Mountain Dew. Finally, some environmentalist would love soft drinks.
Patone’s fuel delivery system uses a mixture of 80% soda drink and 20% gasoline or diesel to run anything from a lawn mower to a diesel engine that runs cars. The most interesting part is that the exhaust from the engine using Pathone’s fuel delivery system is pollution free.
“I haven’t invented the engine; all I’ve invented is the fuel delivery system. And this system will fit a gas engine, a diesel engine, a furnace, a boiler, it will fit anything including jet turbines,” Patone said.
Patone calls his system as the GEET or the Global Environmental Energy Technology. With some extra time in hand and an ambition, you can build your own GEET engine by following the instructions on Patone’s Website.

General Motors, in a measure to recast itself, unveiled P.U.M.A. (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility). P.U.M.A. is an electricity run 2-seater scooter developed by GM and Segway. General Motors is trying to symbolize an innovative and environment aware image of the company with this scooter.
This scooter can run for 35 miles in one-time charging and can hit a top speed of 35 miles per hour. Full charging of its lithium-ion battery takes 8 to 10 hours.
GM says that this is just a concept and commercialization could not be expected before 2012. With $15 billion of bailout loans from the government, we think GM should be putting in greater efforts than working on projects which could hardly be expected to commercialize.

We did see the Audi Flying car concept recently, but how about Flying one as soon as 2010…
Based on the Ferrari 599 GTB model, this 800 horse power monster plans to take off vertically and go @ 150mph in air and 100mph on ground. Powered by 8 thrusters Autovolantor will touch altitudes past 5000ft. But 2010? Too Optimistic I would say!
