Televisions with Dolby Vision in India

Television displays have become significantly better in the last few years. Bezel-less designs, high refresh rates, HDR support, OLED panels, better viewing angles and up to 4K resolution are some of the display parameters that are found on today’s TVs.

One of the biggest improvements in TV display is the implementation of HDR, otherwise known as High Dynamic Range. A TV with HDR support produces vivid colours, deeper blacks and a high contrast ratio. There are different types of HDR including the commonly found HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The later is developed by American company Dolby Laboratories that specializes in audio and video encoding.

However, Dolby Vision takes things to the next level and is the name for HDR 4K video format. It is the most advanced format supporting 12-bit colour depth and maximum brightness achievement. Dolby Vision also features dynamic metadata compared to HDR10’s static metadata, thus offering better visuals and improved image quality.
