Just a few days back we had seen how to root the LG Optimus 2X and now thank to Paul O’ Brien from Modaco we now have a custom revovery for the Optimus 2x. It’s the well known clockworkmod recovery, which will now enable you to backup and restore your current ROM and also in the future help you to flash custom made ROMS.
If you own the optimus 2X and wish to flash the custom recovery then you can do so by the steps below.
Flashing Clockwormod onto the Optimus 2X:
Note: We would like to tell you that this is till not a completed project and its just the beta and Paul is still working on the final release so flash at your own risk.
Requirements:
Downlod the zipped files from here
Procedure:
- Download the Zip files from above
- Enable USB debugging on your device by going to Settings > Application Settings > Development > Check USB debugging
- Extract the Zip files
- Double click on “install-clockworkmod-windows.bat”
- That’s it you will have clockworkmod recovery on your device in no time
How to get into recovery mode: ZTurn the device on by holding volume down and power button together until the device boots into the recovery.
But how to uninstall it? I wanna back to the factory orginal hardreset, Please help me coz I need to take it to repair?

Flash the custom firmware or stock rom (you can get the stock unrooted rom from xda just go and type it on the search bar)
