As of today, Sony launched two new portable digital media players, expanding its Walkman series NWZ-B170 with the new NWZ-B172 and NWZ-B173 respectively. The portable media players feature a flashy new design with ‘BASS Boost’ which claims to improve the audio experience, by enhancing the low-end BASS frequencies, at the press of a button.
The new models NWZ-B172 and NWZ-B173 are available in storage capacities of 2GB and 4GB respectively. The device also features a built-in lithium-ion battery, that can deliver up to 18 hours of playback time and the Quick Charge function delivers 90 minutes of music with a mere three-minute charge. One can get hold of this series in fashion oriented colours of Red, Black, Pink and Gold.
In addition, the NWZ-B170 boasts of a new color-matching power illuminator, which flashes in sync with the rhythm of the music. Just to ensure that your music is always with you, Sony has bundled in a detachable clip, which also comes in handy, when accessorizing with any outfit.
The NWZ-B172 and NWZ-B173, provide the ease of managing music with a simple ‘Drag and Drop’ functionality via Windows Explorer or Macintosh’s Finder. ZAPPIN, a trademarked technology by Sony makes song searching a breeze. The Walkman will cost you Rs 3,990 for a 4GB model and Rs 2,990 for 2GB model.
