We have already heard from two telecom operators in India that they would be bringing the iPhone 4 to India in ‘coming months’. Almost 10 months after its US release, iPhone fans in India would get their hands on official iPhone 4 (if they haven’t got one from alternative sources already).
An interesting piece of news that has come up via BGR India, is the possibility that Apple would release factory unlocked iPhone4 in India via Airtel and Aircel. Both the iPhone 3G and 3GS were locked to different carriers in India (Airtel / Vodafone) and perhaps Apple sees more salability in an unlocked version here (MNP is now live as well :)).
There isn’t any concrete info on the launch date or pricing yet, but we have our sources on it 🙂 Watch this space.
