Hands-on With MeeGo Tablets, WeTab, ExoPC and more

WeTab MeeGo

A trip to Birmingham couldn’t have been more exciting. Last week I happened to attend the MeeGo meet organized by MeeGoExperts and apart from the wonderful techies we met there, there were a whole bunch of MeeGo devices around to play with. This includes the official Intel tablet running MeeGo, the ExoPC along with the first commercially available MeeGo tablet WeTab.

Also around were a few other devices hacked to run MeeGo. This included the Tegra 2 powered Advent Vega (originally  runs Android) & the O2 Joggler (originally runs Ubuntu) and even the Maemo powered Nokia N900 smartphone which now has a official MeeGo build to test apps. The Advent Vega awaits support from Nvidia before the GPU can be used to really explore MeeGo on the device, but its interesting to see the developers community already hacking a ton of devices to run MeeGo. Here is a video preview of the MeeGo devices we handheld.
