Lava Announces the Pixel V2 4G in India at Rs 10,399

At an event held in Mumbai this week, Lava has announced the Pixel V2, which is the noted successor the the Lava Pixel V1. The device is not in the Android One category and therefore will be independent of the promises that were made during the announcement of the Android One Program. The device will be directly competing against the likes of the Moto G Second Gen, Mi 2s Prime and Yu devices for supremacy in the budget category.

In terms of specifications, the phone sports a 5 inch display which is an IPS HD display. The phone is powered by a Mediatek MY 6753 SoC with 2 GB of RAM. The Pixel v2 has a generous 16 GB of internal storage with an expandable memory. The rear camera has a 13 MP sensor, with an LED flash. The front camera is 8 MP which allegedly is designed keeping in mind the love for selfies. The rear camera comes with f/2.0 aperture while the front camera has an aperture of f/2.4. In terms of connectivity, the Lava Pixel V2 has support for LTE and Dual Active SIM standy. the battery on board is a 2500 mAh unit.

Unlike the modern trend, the Lava Pixel V2 4G comes with capacitive buttons and not on screen buttons. The phone runs Android 5.1 with lava’s Star OS 2.0 on top of that. The phone will be available across all retailers and shops from 15th of September.
