Folks over at Flipkart seem all set to bring the much awaited and droolworthy Android powered Sony Ericsson handset, the Xperia Arc here in India. The handset can be pre-ordered from the website for Rs. 28,999 and the estimated date of arrival is April 2, 2011. That’s still a month away. But then, for all you Android freaks out there, nothing beats the joy of owning and getting hold of a handset much before all other “mere mortals” can get one. If you are one of those and also have some spare cash lying in your bank, now is a good time to order the Arc.
That said, we have a little birdie informing as that the price of the Arc could go down to Rs. 26, 990 in the not too distant future. So, if you do intend to let go off the kick of owning it first, you could actually save some bucks – enough to buy a few GB worth of memory cards. Not bad, eh?
The successor to the Xperia X10, the Xperia Arc is one of the thinnest smartphones money can buy and boasts of a 4.2 inch display. It runs Android 2.3 and packs in an 8 megapixel camera in that slim frame. Of course, it records videos at HD resolution. More on the handset here
That said, we were lucky enough to lay our hands on the Arc at the recently concluded CES. Thats right, we did get to touch and spend some quality time with the Arc a good two months before its official launch. Now you know why we love our jobs?
