Hackers Let Banned PS3 Users Unban Themselves From PSN

It was just a few days ago that we reported about Sony bringing in strict new regulations that would ban hackers who jailbreak their PS3 consoles. The ban was justified by Sony citing instances of pirated and stolen software being rampant on hacked PS3’s. People using jailbroken PS3’s recently received warning messages on their devices that read:

“A circumvention device and/or unauthorized or pirated software currently resides on your PlayStation 3 system. Immediately cease use and remove all circumvention devices and delete all unauthorized or pirated software from your PlayStation 3 system. Failure to do so will result in termination of your access to the PlayStation Network and access to Qriocity services through your PlayStation 3 system.”

But then, the smart folks these hackers are, they have already found a way to get past Sony’s PSN bans . They have apparently released a new jailbreak that would let users of hacked PS3’s unban themselves and continue using PSN services normally. In fact, this hack also gives you powers to actually ban other users should you feel necessary!

Of course we expect Sony to counter this latest move by the hacking community. Grab some popcorn and watch this show unfold!
