Nimbuzz Launches Ad Free, Paid Version of Nimbuzz For Symbian

Symbian might have been sentenced to death but that doesn’t mean people will stop development of applications for the platform any time soon. Especially, with over 150 million Symbian devices still expected to be sold, the apps scenario at least for the time being looks promising.

Nimbuzz for example, has just released a new, paid version of its popular VoIP application on the Ovi Store. Available in 17 languages, the new version gets a host of new features like Chat bubbles, Custom backgrounds and custom font colors. And of course, if you have been annoyed by the ads on Nimbuzz, this version will fix the problem with a one-time fee of $3 – which according to me is quite a nominal amount.

The new version is supported on the Nokia E63, E71, 5800 XpressMusic, N97mini, and the new Symbian^3 devices N8, C7, and C6.Note that the free to use, normal, ad supported Nimbuzz is still available for download. This is for people who needed a more “pro” experience with the application.

Here’s a video with more details on the app
