This one definitely goes into the league of the most amazing Bluetooth headsets available till now. Dubbed Orb, the Bluetooth headset turns into a ring when you are not using it. Which means you ain’t gonna loose it very easy. The headset would be available in two editions – classic and deluxe. The deluxe edition would come with a flexible OLED display that shows the caller info, voice-to-text info and calender details.
When you want to answer a call, just tuck the heasdset around your ear and keep talking. Bone conduction sound transfer gives you the benefit of not inserting the headset into your ears and hence no prob in sharing with friends.
Developed by Hybra Advanced Technologies and AbsolutelyNew, the headset would be available in early 2k10. The classic edition would cost $129 while the Deluxe edition would be available for $175. You would also have the option of embedding your favorite gem into the ring, which of course would cost extra.

There are lots of different ways that electronic devices can connect to one another. For example:
* Component cables
* Electrical wires
* Ethernet cables
* WiFi
* Infrared signals
When you use computers, entertainment systems or telephones, the various pieces and parts of the systems make up a community of electronic devices. These devices communicate with each other using a variety of wires, cables, radio signals and infrared light beams, and an even greater variety of connectors, plugs and protocols.The art of connecting things is becoming more and more complex every day. In this article, we will look at a method of connecting devices, called Bluetooth, that can streamline the process. A Bluetooth connection is wireless and automatic, and it has a number of interesting features that can simplify our daily lives.
The funny term BLUETOOTH we started to hear recently, and suddenly we start to think of it to be a very ultramodern technology ? Hi-fi ? and blah ? blah?r Still its modern, it?s one of the most efficient method of wireless communication that will set you free and overall it?s not so expensive.
Bluetooth is a radio-based wireless technology, operating in the license-free 2.4 GHz Industrial, Scientific and Medical band at 1 Mbps, enabling appliances such as PCs, printers, mobile computers, mobile phones plus other portable and handheld devices to exchange data over short distances, as well as providing connectivity to the internet.
In simple terms, Bluetooth (initially introduced by Erricsson) is a chip is designed to replace cables by taking the information (normally carried by the cable), and transmitting it at a special frequency to a receiver Bluetooth chip. In addition to data, up to three voice channels are said to be available. Connections can be made from one point to another, or to several points. In the current generation of Bluetooth devices, data can be exchanged at a rate of 1 Mbps.
Bluetooth can and will play an important role in the field of mobile communications. When the world is going wire-free Bluetooth will lead the upcoming era of wireless communications. Communications doesn?t necessarily refer to data transfer it means a whole lot more ?
When initially designed Bluetooth was not aimed at Mobiles but it turned out to be a useful and must feature in every cell phone these days. The technology’’s promise of getting rid of cables is exciting enough, but many companies are already looking beyond that and considering how Bluetooth could help create a whole new range of applications and way of working. You might very well see a day when your Refrigerator communicates with your Bluetooth-enabled computer, informing it that food supplies is low, and to inform the retailer over the internet. Hmm!!
Bluetooth adoption is stronger in Europe than in Asia. Despite being such a promising and handy technology lack of compelling consumer applications its growth is restricted. Moreover Bluetooth is a ?one to one? technology, which means that you can send data between your desktop computer and your laptop computer at a time, but not your laptop computer and your PDA at the same time.
Security ? Is Bluetooth safe? Bluetooth no doubt is a revolutionary technology, but it also brings things like bluejacking into picture- it?s not 100% safe to use a Bluetooth enabled device. rSecurity and encryption specialist AL Digital has uncovered serious flaws in the authentication and data-transfer mechanisms on some top selling Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, leaving them as an easy pick for hackers. If proper caution is not maintained you may end up loosing all your data to some outsider. With some performance enhancements from current standards, the technology can surely perform better.
