ZenFone Live L1 Announced as First Asus Android Go Phone

Asus has announced the all new ZenFone Live L1 smartphone. It is the first Android Go phone from the company and the first country to receive it is Indonesia. As it can be expected from an Android Go phone, the ZenFone Live L1 is packed with modest specs. However, it features the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio display. The Live L1 also comes in another model that runs on regular version of Android Oreo.

The ZenFone Live L1 is fitted with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen that produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The modest Snapdragon 425 SoC that includes a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor is present under the hood of the Live L1. The chipset is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It includes an internal storage of 16 GB. The non-Android Go edition of the ZenFone Live L1 has 2 GB of RAM and inbuilt storage capacity of 32 GB. It is preinstalled with the latest Android 8.1 Oreo that is customized with Zen UI 5.0.

The Live L1 features a dedicated slot for using a microSD card. The backside of the phone features an LED enabled 13-megapixel camera with PDAF. For shooting selfies, the Live L1 possesses a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. The front camera can be also used for facial unlock. The smartphone is fueled by 3,300mAh battery. The other features of the Live L1 are dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.

The metal-bodied ZenFone Live L1 will be available in color options like Rose Pink, Midnight Black and White in Indonesia. It is priced around IDR 1.5 million (~Rs. 7,200) in the country. The Taiwanese manufacturer did not confirm on the other markets that will be receiving its first Android Go phone.
