Dell hasn’t managed any significant traction in the smartphone and tablets market with its Windows Phone and Android offerings. But as the momentum shifts towards portable computing, the segment gets all the more important for all PC players. As per the reports coming in from Engadget, the supposedly leaked images that you are looking at above are of Dell’s latest yet to be announced tablet ‘Peju’. You can notice the Windows 7 interface and a stylus in the image above.
As per the rumors the Peju is a 10″ tablet powered by Windows 7. On the hardware front the tablet’s supposed to pack in a HDMI port, USB port and 2GB of RAM (might be available in larger options as well). Apparently the device is supposed to cost the earth at $900 to $1000 which is way costlier than any other Android tablet or even an iPad.
Dell might make it available for people in December the holiday season of the year. With Windows 8 devices shown already, we doubt how much traction would a $900 tablet would gather. There are people looking for a full fledged Windows 7 tablet, but that is a small set of business users looking for a portable Windows System and not specifically a tablet interface. Having said that, we wonder if anyone is considering a Android + Windows dual boot tablet?
