Samsung’s Galaxy S has started to make its impact in the South Korea. Galaxy S seems to have struck gold for Samsung, in just first 5 hours it sold over 10,000 pieces and in 6 days of its launch, it has sold over 100,000 pieces and still counting.
Just the other night, Samsung launched its Galaxy S in US. Unlike the other phones, Samsung has hit the US markets with all the major US carriers onboard (T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and AT&T). The device looks really promising since samsung says that all these devices will be upgraded to Android 2.2 i.e. Froyo. Now that’s interesting! All the Samsung Galaxy S models with different US carriers are slightly different.
Here’s a quick look on the major specs of Samsung Galaxy S (common in all the US models):
- 4 inch QVGA 480 x 800 pixel Super AMOLED display
- 5 mega pixel camera
- Multi touch support
- 1 GHz processor
- Memory expandable upto 32GB
- 3.5mm audio jack
Will this device by Samsung spark off comparisons with the Apple’s iPhone 4? May be after getting an android 2.2 on it? Just wait and watch. 😉
Galaxy has finally come up with Android 2.2 , also named as Froyo, that is to get into the competition with the other OSs available in market, may be Mac’s IOS or windows mobil
