We’ve heard about the craze for Apple’s iPhones with pre-orders and 1.7m sales over the 1st weekend on sale. This comes as a shocker to me when Korean Giant Samsung announced about the 3 million pre-orders for Galaxy S II smartphone by the end of April.
Samsung’s first dual core handset with 4.3-in screen with Super AMOLED Plus technology. It also boasts a 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and also features the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and an 8MP rear facing camera.
Successor to their Galaxy S model which was very successful, the SGS2 is the most in demand smartphone in the past few years. It has almost twice the demand of what the iPhone 4 managed in its 1st weekend on sale. It is sure to be a hit and will certainly help Samsung (and Android) to strengthen its roots in the ever expanding smartphone market.
