Well with the iPhone officially making its way to India along with the Samsung Galaxy SII for company; the smartphone market is spiraling its way upwards. Not only the competition in the smart phone market will be getting intense but the 3G data consumption that brings along with it will fuel rivalry among the operators as well. And Tata DOCOMO was the first private operator in India to launch their 3G services after the government backed BSNL and MTNL operators.
With operators like Airtel and Aircel already throwing their hats in the ring with attractive money back data plans, TATA DOCOMO which changed the ballgame completely in the 2g market and took it by storm wasn’t really going to be left behind.
TATA DOCOMO has introduced its Micro SIM for the ‘iLovers’ in India alongwith some interesting offers to go with it. Tata DOCOMO’s along with their Micro SIM’s offers a First Recharge Coupon (FRC) which will allow you a data usage of upto 500 MB for 30 days @ Rs. 109 only. You can count on them to bring interesting value for money plans. They have an unlimited 3G data plan for Rs. 1000 per month.
Now it will be interesting to see if Tata DOCOMO can come up with some ground breaking 3G plans as well and if they can set the ball rolling in this segment as well. I must admit that they are not very popular for their connectivity though, one thing which they would have to look at. I dont see a reason for people to complain if they can bring down the 3G services prices in the market which for now appears on the higher side.
