After launching 3G services in 12 cities across the country – including Delhi and Jaipur, Airtel has finally announced the launch of its 3G services in the financial capital, Mumbai. Airtel claims to have wider network coverage than most of its competitors and has over 1300 3G cell sites installed all over the city for comprehensive coverage. Airtel has also added that they expect to complete its 3G rollout in all 13 of its circles where it has the license for 3G services. It is also in talks with other operators for roaming tie-ups .

If you are in Mumbai, all you need to do to activate 3G is to send an SMS with the text “3G” (without the quotes!) to 121.
