Android 2.2 or Froyo as it is known has been around for well over nine months now. This version of the OS, for the same reason has now increased its share among Android versions with a total of 61.3 per cent of all Android devices running it. Along with Android 2.1 the two account for over 90 per cent of the share. The recently released Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) is yet to get a foothold with it being used on just 1 per cent of Android devices out there. Then we have Honeycomb which is yet to make any blip on the graph.
That said, we could see these numbers being flipped apart by the end of the year when Android 2.3 and 3.0 would be much more common.
Here’s a table with details regarding the share.
