We all remember the Droid X a huge devious and at one time considered the iPhone killer and one of the best devices out there with a great processor, huge RAM and a big display. Well there has been a rumor about its successor, the Droid X2 coming and now we can confirm this device as its pictures and specs have been leaked which means this device will be coming soon.
Droid X 2 specification:
- Processor: Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1 GHz processor
- RAM: 1 GB
- Display: QHD LCD Display with 540 x 960 Resolution
- 3G only
- Primary Camera: 8 MP
- Secondary Camera: Not Present
- FM Radio: Yes
- Android Version: Android 2.2 Froyo
Well this is the only specs which has been leaked out. Looking at the above specs we can surely tell that the Droid X2 is a power house with the dual-core 1 GHz Tegra 2 processor with 1 GB of RAM, but I find many things missing compared to the other competing devices like the Optimus 2X, HTC Pyramid and the Evo 3D, there is no camera button, there is no secondary camera, Android 2.2 and only 3G. Almost all the high-end devices which are coming out in the market right now have a secondary camera, latest version of Android (gingerbread?), and 4G capabilities.
Well many people might not want all these features (dual camera or 4G) and this may even help Motorola keep the price down and push it out to more people. But the final blow to this device came when we heard that it will be running Android 2.2 Froyo. All the new devices coming out have the latest version of Android. Well we hope that Motorola changes it mind and releases the device with Gingerbread, after all we know that Google has given preferential treatment to Motorola more than once in this regards 🙂
“ALL the new devices coming out will have 2.3?” Only one does to date, and until Google decides, no more will until they release it out in the “open”. No camera button? No 2nd camera? HAHA. The pics are of a PROTOYPE that is at least 5 months old. Idiots. There is a 2nd cam AND there are acutally TWO camera buttons.
