Microsoft Accidentally Reveals Names of Upcoming Windows Phone 7 Handsets

In what seems to be an inadvertent error by the folks looking after the Microsoft Canada website, the company has revealed the names of forthcoming Windows Phone powered handsets from various manufacturers on this page.

The post with the revealing names was quickly taken down – but not before eagle eyed folks from over at WPCentral managed to note down the names of these new handsets. One of the names mentioned included Nokia’s SeaRay which we already know about. The first Windows Phone device from Nokia, the Sea Ray is expected to make its debut in the next few months. The SeaRay as you might be aware will sport a 3.9 inch display and have quite a handful of interesting features.

The other Nokia handset to get a mention here I known as the Nokia “Sabre” about which little is known except for the name.

Other handsets, which were revealed (just the names) included two from the Samsung stables. These were known as the Wembeley, and the Yukon both of which will get Windows Phone 7.5 preloaded whenever they are ready for launch.

Looks like all these Windows Phone powered handsets will get fancy names. Imagine saying this to your friends; “I have a Nokia Sabre and my cousin’s got the Sea Ray, what about your Yukon?” Sigh!
