We had reported about Sense 3.0 rom port for the Desire HD and we had also posted the guide of how to flash it on you precious device, but many people have been telling us to write a rooting and a recovery flashing guide for the Desire HD so here we go.
Note:
- This procedure will VOID your WARRANTY
- Please follow the following procedure carefully
- This method will only provide you root access
- This procedure will require the latest Hboot, if you have flashed the latest Hboot and cannot root your device then you can follow our guide to Downgrade the Desire HD
Requirements:
Download Paul’s visionary+ tool from here
Procedure:
- Copy the above downloaded application into the micro SD card
- Insert the micro SD card inside the device
- Install the application from any file manager
- Open the application
- Select “Set system r/w after root”
- Click on “Temp root now”
- Wait until the process is finishedClick “Attempt perm root now”
- Your Desire HD will automatically reboot
- If still you did not get root access then follow the procedure again without missing any step
How to check whether you ahve root access or not:
- Download terminal emulator from market
- Install terminal emulator
- Open the applicationtype ‘su’ and press enter
- If you see “#” then your device has root access
