Windows Phone Mango has been gaining a lot of traction these days with the launch of Mango laden Nokia devices and the recent upgrade for all the first generation Windows phone devices.
We had reported in February about Acer waiting for Windows to gain traction and as it seems the long wait is finally over and Acer is ready with its Windows phone enabled offering.
Acer will jump the bandwagon with their first Windows Pone Mango device named Allegro which will be launched in France for €299 ($425). Though there in no information available as to when the device will make its way to other countries in Europe or other continents across the globe.
Acer seems to have gone in for a low end Windows device with average specs on the device. The device has 3.6-inch WVGA (800 x 480) screen and weighs 126g. It has an internal storage of 8GB and a 5 MP camera with LED flash to go along. The Allegro has a Qualcomm MSM8255 1GHz processor.
The Allegro boasts of a ‘Fast Charge’ feature wherein the 1300mAh battery is charged 2.5 times faster than any other Acer smartphone or tablet battery. The device is expected to be available in mid-November in France and will be available in two colors, blue and white.
