The American electrical commerce company, Amazon has been really confident about the Indian market lately. Amazon’s decision to launch the new version of Kindle Paperwhite to India the same day as the rest of the world confirms it. However, the updated version will be availabe at the same price as its earlier varient. Also, the Wi-Fi+3G version too will cost Rs 13,999.
The new version features Kindle’s highest resolution Paperwhite display till date. The 300 pixels per inch resolution is same as top-of-the-line Kindle Voyage. This new features guarantees that the text will be much sharper and there will be more words per page than before.
The e-reader can now be pre-ordered via Amazon.in and will start shipping from June 30th. The new Kindle Paperwhite will also be available in over 500 retail outlets across India.
Along with modifications in resolution, Amazon has also introduced a new font for the readers. The new digital font, the Bookerly font has been designed for reading on digital screens at any size. It exhibits a lighter and more graceful look which outperforms other digital reading fonts and help customers read faster with less eyestrain.

A new typesetting engine is also introduced, which claims to improves hyphenation and spacing, character placement and overall layout. Further the new typography and layout improvements are available on over half a million books, including many best sellers, with thousands more being added every week. The features will be delivered as part of a free, over-the-air software update in the coming weeks, a release added.
