Some of the most sought after apps on the App Store or Cydia are tethering hacks or WiFi hotspots, and it seems that Google doesn’t want Android users to rely on apps for these purposes. It is revealed that the next alteration of Android OS i.e. v2.2 would feature integrated WiFi hotspot support and USB tethering.
Given the fact that 4G handsets running Android are around the corner already, we are talking about Super speed via WiFi / USB tethering on Android phones. This also takes a shot at the limited and poor data coverage along with a wall gardened system faced by iPhone users.
Google is expected to take the curtains off Android Froyo in less than a weeks time, and we are hoping that the Nexus Two would come in with some pleasant surprise
