So we now know. India’s first 3G tablet is the OlivePad (now, what does that sound like?). Launched in Delhi, it is a tad smaller than Apple’s uber gizmo, but comes packed with some very impressive specs – Android 2.1, two cameras (a 3MP one on the back and a VGA one on the front for video calling), GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, high speed wireless broadband (courtesy Tata Indicom) and a host of other features. We are still waiting for the final tech spec sheet and will post it the moment we get it. The price is expected to be below Rs 25,000 and the product itself will be available in August. Not too bad at all. Watch this space for the review.
