If you are in India and are looking for a new navigation software for your iPhone – apart from the usual ones, you might want to check out the ANS Navigator. The App which recently added localized Indian guides has been upgraded to enhance the driving experience of Indian drivers. The local India guide added to the software includes more than 1,300 Points of Interest (POI) – complete with the POI name, category, address, phone number et.al – so you can have all the information at your fingertips before you even reach the location. These POI’s include new tourist attractions, nightlife spots and shopping centers.
As expected from an app of this class, the points of interest also provide information pertaining to places that are related to entertainment, leisure and dining. An inevitable addition is the addition of hospital services across 35 Indian cities. Others in the category include petrol pumps, restaurants, hotels and even ATM’s!
The application, as you might have guessed by now offers Turn-by-turn guided navigation powered by NNG’s iGO Navigation Engine – which is mounted on your car’s dashboard.
