As the holiday season draws ever closer, all the games that we had only be hearing about and getting glimpses of through promo videos, are now hitting the stands. And the latest to do so is the next installment of Ubisoft’s iconic Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. We have received news that the PS3 and Xbox360 versions of the game will be available in India next week, although the PC version will only come next year.
The game, which traces the adventures of a member of the Secret Order of Assassins in the medieval world – well, actually it is a person called Desmond Miles who is living in the present but is visiting his genetic memories which are those of an assassin through some sort of a complex time machine (it’s a bit complex, so we will leave it at that) – has won a lot of acclaim for its mix of free roaming action (generally across rooftops), adventure and stealth. The new game promises more of the same along with a new element – multiplayer. Based on what we have seen of the promos, it is already the leading contender for the best looking game of the year award. As to how good it is, well, we are in line for a unit of the game and will let you know when we get it. Watch this space.
