BlackBerry Motion is the latest smartphone from TCL that was showcased during the GITEX Technology Week in Dubai, UAE today. It is the first IP67 rated BlackBerry phone to come with a dust and water-resistant body. Also, it is the first BlackBerry smartphone to house a huge battery of 4,000mAh capacity. BlackBerry Motion Specifications and Features
There is no physical QWERTY keyboard available on the BlackBerry Motion. Instead, it features an all-touch LCD display that measures 5.5 inches. The display supports full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The screen is protected by a strong layer of DragonTail Glass.
The Snapdragon 625 SoC that is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM powers the BlackBerry Motion phone. It has an internal storage of 32 GB and it also features a microSD card slot. The 4,000mAh battery of the smartphone is coupled with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging feature.
The handset is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and it includes DTEK suite for robust security. Locker is a feature available on the phone that allow users to securely store files and photos on internal storage by safeguarding it with a PIN code or fingerprint scanning. The phone also features a Smart Convenience Key that can be customized to launch any app or function.
The 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture is paired with a dual-LED flash. It is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30 fps. It houses an 8-megapixel frontal camera that is enabled with an LED flash for shooting better selfies in low-light conditions. Some of the connectivity features that are available on the BlackBerry Motion include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack.
BlackBerry Motion Pricing and Availability
TCL has confirmed that the BlackBerry Motion will be released in select markets. As of this writing, the BlackBerry Motion is available on pre-orders in UAE and Saudi Arabia with respective cost of Dh 1,699 (~$462) and 1,699 Riyal (~$453).
