It’s been only a few days since the PlayStation Vita was launched in the Japanese markets by Sony. The gaming device has had an impressive opening on December 17 as it managed to sell around 3,21,407 of the total 7,00,000 units that were shipped. Which makes it roughly 46% of the total device shipped in 48 hours. But the launch of Sony’s latest gaming console has been marred by the controversy of various bugs being present in the device as a result of which the Vita users have been facing various issues like unresponsive touchscreens and complete system freeze.
The poor performance of the latest edition of the PlayStation gaming console has led to a furor among the consumers in the Japanese markets, which has resulted in twitter timelines being flooded by the angry consumers of the Vita console. Though, it seems that Sony was aware of the glitches in the PS Vita as they issued an immediate apology and also were able to dish out a software update to fix the bugs so soon.
The first Sony PSP launched way back in 2004 had managed sales of 1,66,074 units in 24 hours while Nintendo was able to sell a total of 3,71,326 units of the 3DS system in the first 48 hours after its launch on February 26 this year. Though soon after the sales of the 3DS stalled only to be later revived via a massive price cut.

Sony can’t afford the same mistake to be repeated when they launch in other markets across the globe. Below is a video showing you the lag on the PS Vita.
