There are many methods of checking whether you have root access or not. Sometimes, after following some rooting procedure we always check whether we did it properly and whether we have root access. What I normally do is to download the “Terminal” application from the market and just type in su, which will show you a # in the next line which you have root access. There are also methods like using root explorer to check whether you can access the system folders.
If all this sounds too complex, now there is no need to worry for the rookie rooters as there is an application to check whether you have root or not! XDA Forum member joeykrim has come out with a n application which checks for root access and then informs us. Well please note that this application will not root your device.
This application is very simple to use. There are only two options when you open the application which is to verify root access and verify whether busybox is installed properly or not.
Root checker is free and you can download it from the android market or you can just go here and download it.
