Coming Soon: HTC One Variant With Stock Android?

It has been just over a week since Google announced that they would be coming up with a Galaxy S4 Google Edition – which as you might be aware is a Samsung Galaxy S4 running stock Android. Now, we have fresh rumours coming up of HTC, the Taiwanese mobile phones giant coming up with a fresh variant of the HTC One. Whats so special about this version? Well, unlike your normal, run of the mill HTC One which comes loaded with the latest version of HTC Sense, this one would run the unchanged, pure, stock version of the latest Android release. There is one catch, though. As of now, this might only be made available in the US of A.

If we are to believe a report by Geek.com, the reason for HTC to come up with a device with stock Android is because of the fact that a lot of people do actually demand the stock Android version of flagship devices. Note that this new device will not have the option to “switch” to HTC’s own Sense UI that some people swear by. There is also chance that this handset would make its debut with Android 4.2.2.

It is still unclear if this “Pure” HTC One would be sold via the Google Pay Store or if it would be made available exclusively by HTC. There is also rumours going around about the fact that this phone would be the first to receive the Android4.2.2 update. Also note that the arrival of this device has been pegged in the next two weeks. So, we don’t have much waiting time left.
