Dell’s Windows Phone 7 laden Dell Venue Pro was first seen at the time of the launch of Windows Phone 7 two weeks ago. The handset boasted of a vertical slide out keyboard and a large 4.1- inch display capable of WVGA resolution. It is AMOLED in nature and boasts of a Gorilla glass covering as well.
If we are to believe a commenter over at PC World, Dell is planning to release an Android version of this phone in the near future. This is by no means a confirmed report. But coming to think of it, it doesn’t look a terribly inadequately idea at all. After all, what is wrong in having more options?
As for the other specs on the device, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running at 1 Ghz. There is a 5 megapixel camera at the rear. The pricing of the “original” Venue Pro is yet to be revealed.
So, how many of you wouldn’t mind this one getting an Android version? I for once do not mind at all! We need some convincing Android based QWERTY phones for sure!
