There is terrific news for iPhone and iPod touch users – Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution game is available for free download from the App Store for a limited time (in all probability, just for today). And no, we are not talking about the lite version of the game but the full-fledged one, which normally comes with a price tag of $6.99 attached to it. Meier’s game has been hailed as one of the best strategy games around, although we frankly found a bit on the slow side with a menu that was way too cluttered. Still, it does a very good job of letting you lead an entire civilization to glory, using tools that vary from basic material-gathering to diplomacy to outright war.
We would heartily recommend a download provided the app is available in your country’s App Store. Alas, it is not in India!
