Hotmail users are reporting of a major issue wherein some of their e-mails have disappeared from their inboxes. People posting on Microsoft forums have been complaining for the past few hours about the fact that their e-mails have been deleted automatically. E-Mails from the inbox and from within other folders have been deleted. A Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed the issue and has also added that the issue is not widespread.
“At this point it appears to be a limited issue, and Microsoft is working with individual users who are impacted. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers,” the spokesperson was heard saying. She also confirmed that they are working to rectify the problem. It remains to be seen if Microsoft does manage to restore those deleted e-mails.
