We are live from Gionee’s event in Delhi where they have just launched their latest smartphone, the Elife E6. The E6 will be available for the price of Rs. 22,999 and has the specs of a much higher end phone: it features a 5″ 1080p IPS-LCD display which is made with a One Glass Solution, clocking in the pixel density at 440PPI. It is just 7.9mm thick and weighs only 128g, even though it packs in a 1.5GHz Quad-Core Mediatek processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. Not only does it have a 13 MP rear facing camera with a Back Side Illuminated sensor, but also a 5MP front facing camera.
The Gionee Elife E6 is made using a unibody polycarbonate design and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Gionee’s proprietary Amigo skin on top of it. The Amigo UI skin adds a lot of gesture based features similar to Samsung and LG’s latest offerings. You can answer calls by just picking up the phone and placing it against your ear, scroll through photos by swiping your hand across the face of the phone and even play or pause videos when you’re looking away.
The Elife E6 comes with 32GB of non-expandable storage and has a 2000mAh battery. It can already be had from Snapdeal at a discounted price of Rs. 22,165 and is available in black and white colours.
