Evernote, one of our favourite note making apps has just released an update for its Android version. The updated app, Evernote 2.6, comes with three major additions, the snippet view, notebook stacks and edit styled notes.
The snippet view very obviously puts a snippet of the note accommodating most information about the note in it. In case the note has an image in it, snippet will display the picture, or if its text only, the snippet will show most lines of text making it easier to identify the note, without going through the hassle of opening it. Notebook Stacks, an addition that was made for Evernote on Mac and Windows earlier will let you sync and use the notebook stacks created on your PC, on your mobile now. These can also be placed under a mobile stack for quicker access on the go.
The update also allows editing of all kinds of notes, text, web clip, pics and audio on the mobile itself. There are also some speed boosts with syncing being six times faster, faster note loading, better note scaling, and improvements in the overall performance of the application. Oh yes, and there is the usual bug-fixing done too, so there should be fewer lags and crashes. Best of all, it remains free and as useful as ever. Other mobile platforms will see the same update soon. We are downloading it, and recommend that you do too.
