Motorola’s much awaited tablet; the Motorola Xoom has gone on sale in India. Our trusty Mr.Spock has managed to send us exclusive shots of the device being on sale at a retail outlet in the country. Along with the Xoom, HTC’s Flyer Tablet too has gone on sale, although we did hear about that bit a few days ago. Anyway, the news is that the Xoom has gone on sale in India officially starting today.
The Xoom is available in both, the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+3G avatars here. Both the devices have 32GB of storage and the prices are as follows:
Motorola Xoom WiFi: Rs 34000
Motorola Xoom Wifi+3G: Rs.38750
Both the versions come with 32 GB of memory.
We also notice that the Xoom packaging here in India is quite different from the one that we received from the US. The latter comes in a bluish box while the Indian version comes in a reddish box.
As for the HTC Flyer, the device has been priced at Rs 38000 for the 32GB Wifi + 3G version.
Update: The Xoom is currently running HoneyComb 3.0 in India. Also, from what we have been told, the HTC Flyer hasn’t exactly been flying off the shelves. Sales have been lackluster.
