It might not be making as many headlines as iOS or Android, but Windows Phone 7 remains one of the most anticipated operating systems of the year. And Microsoft has now taken the wraps off the first commercial for the new OS, screening it at one of its Secret Cinema community film shows in London. The film before it was screened was, rather appropriately, Lawrence of Arabia. Appropriate, because the ad had a very Lawrence of Arabia feel to it, with the Windows Phone 7 emerging out of a shimmering mirage in the desert, a la Omar Sharief in the film (remember?). Well, the ad itself does not tell you much about Windows Phone, apart from hinting at its interface, but it is well worth a look. Here you go:
