Google’s much awaited Nexus 5 has officially arrived here in India. The handset can now be bought from the Google Play store. Until now, the “Add to Cart” option was absent from the page and it only showed a “Coming Soon” option. It was late last month that both the devices appeared on the Google India Play Store page – right after its international announcement. Almost a month later, the products are ready for sale. Both the versions – the 16 GB and the 32 GB variant in both Black and White color options are now available.
The prices remain the same as well. Rs. 28,999 for the 16 GB version and 32,999 for the 32 GB variant. It seems that the devices went out of stock for a brief period. Now though, it shows as “In Stock” for both the versions. Once you order the device, it would be processed within 2 days and shipped to you via Bluedart and reach you in 2-7 days. It seems Google would be shipping the device to you from their Singapore Warehouse. Also to be noted is that the only payment option is using your credit card – tied to your Google Wallet. I did not find the option of a direct debit from your bank account – probably because this is actually an international order.
