India’s own online version of Black Friday shopping day and Cyber Monday, the Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF) kicked off from today. This is the second iteration of the shopping fest – with the first one having seen a successful run last year. This year, as many as 200 e-commerce portals are participating in the festival that would last till December 13, 2013. There are quite a few good deals going around on most major websites which you might want to avail of before they run out of stocks.
That however is not what we wanted to talk about in this article. Google has been over the past few days heavily promoting the official website of GOSF wherever they could. Today morning however when people tried to access the website, this is what they saw.
As it turns out, the entire GOSF website has moved to a new domain (gosflive.osscube.com). People on Twitter were quick to point out the snag. Here are some examples. Interestingly, the Hindi version of the GOSF website is still functional on its original domain – gosf.in/hi
Hope Google fixes this one soon! Meanwhile you can continue to shop on the e-commerce website of your choice as the GOSF website doesn’t have anything to do with the actual shopping process. It is more of an information related website.
